Saw my first one of these coins the other day and was pretty surprised to see that you were right dude. A tiny bit of pocket change research tells me that this isn't the first time it's happened but you are right, it's dumb!

Fair point but roman numerals(1,2,3, etc.) will only work if people understand those already. In the Middle and Far East they use a different numering system. Although this issue did not seem to be relevant in the past.

Still, I think someone at the Royal Mint has made a design compromise as the new notes still have numbers. Also where would use put the numbers?

I typed " Does being 26 make me old" into google and this came up. I have to say that ive notice im being more productive as well. I didnt know what i would be doing at this age but i thought i would be doing more. But as i look back on it and think about how long people live for. 26 Is actually quite young. The guys at work always point out the hard and heavy lifting jobs and say "let the kid do it!", and by kid they mean me. Alot of them are in their early thirties. So its all relative is the point im trying to make. If ya want to feel younger or get a laugh go to http://www.realage.com/default.aspx and take the test to see what you real age is. Says i was 19 when i was 25 because i go to the gym and stuff. It even offered me advise on ways to get younger. Hell by the results i already have, i need a fake id for beer now lol. Anyways regardless of someones age, just go on and enjoy life. Find something ya like to do or wanted to do and make it happen.

That's pretty crazy to think that no one has noticed! Maybe it was a design choice, however, if it was, you would think that it would be obvious that not everyone can read English.

Cheaper monthlies - ask for a monthly to City Thameslink not London Bridge.
Current cost as of 12/2008 is £283.

The special bit is that these on these tickets the default route is "ANY PERMITTED".

This of course means you can use any Southern or Thameslink train - using Southern trains into LBridge is normally something like £310 I think.

er.. thats it
